Thankfully, that's in the past now... And there's no longer a reason to follow the landlord.

I'm going to find out the Lessor's motives. [ He says it without hesitation, without doubt. ] That's why I wanted to look at these with you...

[He nods once before proceeding onto the next paper and empty sticker sheet.]

It's always the people having to do something.

[third_liberator]

Mm. It really seems like he's testing how much he can get people to do every time... [ With some reward being promised, he thinks. ] It's almost like...

[fontastically]

Does it remind you of something else?

[third_liberator]

...It reminds me of animals being trained.

[fontastically]

[And that's what people are: animals. But Ion is unable to bring himself to say it as Tyr is completely right with what he is saying.]

We have all adapted and we move when requested of us. We respond to the Lessor with the expectation that we will be rewarded.

[third_liberator]

Right...

[ Tyr looks blankly down at his lap. He can almost hear Viktor telling him to stop acting so depressed.

Taking a deep breath, he looks to Ion again. ]

That's a dangerous adaptation take. It might be part of the reason this entire thing happened...

[fontastically]

Even with the changes that take place, we have taken in the mentality that this is a place to be truly happy.

[He looks back at Tyr.]

And a few must have been up to this point.

[third_liberator]

[ Tyr wanted it to be a place where he's truly happy, but that isn't going to happen. He's finally realized that. ]

It's...not a bad place to be...as long as the Lessor leaves us alone.

[fontastically]

[Such a realisation is almost physically clear. With how Tyr has answered questions in the past, it's nothing of a surprise that there is a desire that the other has to want to make life here good.]

We're going to have to confront the Lessor before it will become a reality.

[third_liberator]

We don't have the means to do that now... [ He doesn't sound sad when he admits that, though; he's resolved to make it happen. ] We still need to find out more.

[fontastically]

[It's that resolve that has Ion brighten a bit.]

You're right. As we have learned, the Lessor also makes mistakes. We will find something.

[third_liberator]

[ Tyr nods. ]

That's right. We just need to keep watch and be prepared.

[fontastically]

[The scavenger hunt.... a longer personal message-

Ion furrows his brow.]

Tyr, what if the murders are being used as a distraction?

[third_liberator]

[ Whatever relief Tyr was allowing himself to feel quickly faded with Ion's next question. Tyr's own face mirrors his friend's. ]

A distraction for what?

[fontastically]

Last autumn, the Lessor had made a mistake with his manipulation. [He lifts his head.] What if there is an attempt to go about that again?

[third_liberator]

So he decided to kill people to cause a distraction? [ Tyr might be staying calm, but it's obvious he's biting back his feelings. ] That's insane.

[fontastically]

[It is clear enough. Ion has been wrong with his words since it has gotten such a reaction out Tyr.]

...I'm not saying that it's fact.

[third_liberator]

...I know.

[ He shakes his head. ]

But I wouldn't put it past him at this point...
