[ That wasn't too bad. When Ion leans over, Tyr gives his shoulder a gentle pat. ]

All right, let's take a break now...

[He looks up at Tyr, barely nodding, and then chooses to just sit himself on the track.]

[ He really tired himself out. Next time, he'll try to stop before it's quite this bad. Once Ion sit's down, Tyr starts rubbing his back a little. Not saying anything until Ion catches his breath. ]

[Maybe he has failed even with trying. He looks up when he feels he hasn't totally been left in the dust. Ion sits himself up after a moment.]

What should be done next?

[third_liberator]

[ He pats Ion's back one more time before pulling his hand back. ]

Fifteen minute break so you can recover your energy.

[fontastically]

Is that the best amount of time for a break?

[Ion hadn't even been running for fifteen minutes.]

[third_liberator]

You're supposed to rest over twice as long as you were running. Fifteen minutes isn't a rule, but it's a good time in this case...

[fontastically]

I'll make sure to remember that. Meaning I've only ran for seven and a half minutes.

[Time to sigh.]

I imagine you must normally go on for longer.

[third_liberator]

Our positions before this were pretty different... There's no reason why you can't reach my level in future though.

[fontastically]

Do you believe that I could?

[third_liberator]

[ Nods. ] If you wanted to. It would just take time...

[fontastically]

While that's a goal that I would like to reach at some point I know I must stay with something smaller for now.

[Baby steps.]

But I think I'll get halfway, eventually.

[third_liberator]

[ Ion might be a new student, but hearing that kind of confidence and determination so honestly really makes him happy. ]

That's right. We can plan out goals, too, and move beyond endurance training sometime... Now that I know your end goal, I can really help you.

[ You will be like a soldier. Enjoy this fate. ]

[fontastically]

[They can really do all of that? Well, Tyr knows what he is talking about and Ion wants to go beyond what he's doing as of now...]

Thank you, Tyr. I'd like to do that. I'll do what I can for as long as it takes.

[third_liberator]

[ They'd have to see if Ion really had the physical capabilities - Tyr doesn't know what kind of toll his previous illness had on Ion's body - but for now, Tyr believes in him. ]

I'll train you until you get there, too... I know you'll be able to if you keep working.

[fontastically]

[It's difficult not to smile after hearing that, Ion easily giving into it. And it's soon he's standing up once again.]

For now I will work with what's originally important.

[third_liberator]

[ Tyr stood up with him if only to keep things from being awkward. ]

Right. We'll focus on building up your stamina for now.

[ Oh, now Tyr's smiling more as he adds: ]

Maybe we can train together eventually.

[fontastically]

If that's a possibility, I look forward to it.

[He'd get to see what the other does to keep himself up.]

Should we start running again?

[third_liberator]

[ Smiling smiling. Ion is no soldier (yet), but he really believes in him. ] Then you can look forward to it.

[ Tyr looks over to check the clock on the wall, but doesn't say anything before looking back at Ion. ]

How do you feel?

I feel fine.

[At the very least, better than before.]

All right. Let's move onto something else for now... You have a few options to try for this still.

[ Though running would probably use the most of his body if Ion did it right. ]

[Though he still needs to figure out running.]

What is it that you had in mind?

[ ...Tyr will coach him on it. ]

It's kind of like stretching. You could do it at your house if you wanted to.

Stretching? It doesn't require any sort of equipment?

[ He shakes his head. ]
